Finally we have at least figured out Dietrich's Computer (Apple) So now you can all see what we have been up to. The last piece of luggage arrived about an hour ago and a few things in it were also wet. Thank god no mold though. more things in that suitcase were in plastic bags.

We are here we are tired and we are adjusting. As soon as we work out our kinks we will have new photos up. Maybe by then we'll have clean dry clothes as well (LOL) Really we are fine. (Luggage got lost and left in rain apparently) The Grimmes are the ever gracious hosts they have always been. Renata has made a new friend in Paula and the Aldi here in Rotenburg ROCKS!! Not to mention the prices are rock bottom!!! We love and miss you all. Thanks for checking in over and out from Deutschland!!!

BURN BARELL FEVER SPREADS!!!!

After hearing about our burn barell W&S thought it was a great idea and asked if they could use it. Earlier in the evening Julie and I enjoyed calling and cancelling all of our credit card accounts except one. When the customer service rep asked why we were cancelling our account our answer seemed to stump them 90% of the time. I guess they didn't have any response on their script for "We're moving to Germany for a year" We also enjoyed an afternoon walk to the park with Renata. She enjoyed it too, although she was a little concerned when she saw there were no cars in the driveway. She asked Julie "Where car go?" Julie said it's gone because we're moving to Germany and maybe we'll buy a new one when we come back" Renata responded "OK".

THE BURNING BARREL BLUES...
We're getting down to the nitty griddy now folks. Above is the burning barrel the "morning after" we got sick of shredding and so did our shredder so we remembered the burn barrel which we never used in the back yard so we christened it with credit card offers galore they look a lot better now don't they? Also up top you can see what our poor garbagemen encountered at the curb on Friday morning. Since then we have sold both our cars. I dropped mine off about an hour ago and earlier this morning we signed the title to Julie's car over to Wendy and Sean. It's really getting serious folks! We enjoyed Saturday7/08/06 hanging at Phil's place with Jon and his family and Tracie and her Family Pictures are above in the next post. So 6 more days in the house and 9 days till we fly to Germany. So I know it's not that exciting but that's the latest. We love you all!!!! Glen Julie and Renata

Thanks so much Mom and Aunt "D" for the great send off party! It was great to see everyone too! Hope everyone who couldn't make it had a great 4th of July celebration. Below is a picture of us with the plane Lana (Mom) made for us (there are pictures of us in the passenger windows!) It is also the plane Gary got lodged in a tree out behind Dianna's house along with Renata's ball that he tried to dislodge it with. Special thanks to Tom and Lana for helping Gary get it out of the tree!

Even our little Renata is feeling the "burn"of our rigorous schedule of visiting people, packing and tying up loose ends. As you all know Renata is no fan of naps. But this is the first time she ever fell asleep while coloring. We were so busy packing and running around that we didn't even see it happen. It was just suddenly quiet. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL AN THE 4TH!!! Just 14 more days till we take off.

Here's a recent picture of us at the Empire State Plazza. Today we finally finished the "BIG" Garage Sale. Or perhaps we should say survived it. Now the packing and storing will get serious. The Garage Sale got me 5 leads on the 95 Saturn and I have a down payment on it. As of tomorrow we have 16 days till we fly. We hope to see those of you that can make it at the Aufwiedersehen Party.
